I think confidence is a key factor in h...Good post! I think confidence is a key factor in how people use Facebook too. You get more validated when people compliment your photos, thoughts etc. I have a question about how this works on sites that do not require users to use their real names, like twitter and reddit. In her first article Turkle sees using alias as a chance for people to act out in ways they wouldn't in real life because they can't be judged, and becoming more confident as a result. Do you think there's a different between public and anonymous social media regarding confidence? Does Facebook make people more confident, or more depending on approval?<br /><br />P.S.
